Edmonton Removals

The European arm

International removals from Edmonton

When a move takes you out of North London and out of the country, we plan it from your Edmonton door to the new one abroad — the route, the crossing, the customs, the careful unload. Four countries, framed the way you’ll actually search: from Edmonton to there.

Removals from Edmonton to Europe

We’re an Edmonton removals company first, but a good share of our work leaves the UK entirely. Over the years we’ve loaded vans on N9 and N18 streets bound for the south of France, driven households across the Alps into Italy, run the well-worn corridor down to the Spanish Costas, and made the long western haul to Portugal. The care that goes into a move around Edmonton Green is the same care that crosses the Channel.

Each route has its own rhythm — its own crossings, its own drive, its own customs quirks. So rather than one vague “international” page, we’ve written a proper guide for each:

Pickup from Edmonton — and across the UK

Most loads start right here in Edmonton, but we don’t only serve N9 and N18. When the route works, we collect from across the country — London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol and plenty of towns in between — and fold it into the same European run. If your move begins somewhere other than Edmonton, just say where when you get in touch.

Part loads and full loads

You don’t need to fill a lorry to move abroad. If you’re only taking a room or two, your belongings travel consolidated with other moves heading the same way — inventoried, protected and delivered to your door, just at a share of the space. For a full household, a dedicated load keeps everything together from start to finish. We’ll advise which suits once we know what’s moving.

Customs, handled

Since Brexit, moving household goods into the EU means customs declarations on both sides, and for most people a transfer-of-residence claim that can relieve duty and VAT on your own used belongings. It’s the part that worries people most, and the part we take off their hands: we prepare the inventory and the transit and clearance paperwork, and tell you exactly which documents to gather for your destination. You pack; we do the forms.

European removals — your questions

Which countries do you cover from Edmonton?

Our European arm runs to four countries: France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Each has its own guide with the route, the customs steps and the regions we reach most.

Do you only pick up from Edmonton?

Edmonton is our home base and where most loads start, but we collect from across London and the rest of the UK — from Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bristol among others — when it fits the route.

Can I move just part of a household to Europe?

Yes. Part loads travel consolidated with other moves heading the same way, which keeps smaller European moves sensible. Everything is inventoried and protected the same as a full load.

What about customs paperwork after Brexit?

Moving household goods into the EU now needs customs declarations on both sides, and usually a transfer-of-residence claim. We prepare the transit and clearance paperwork and guide you on the documents to gather.

How long do European moves take?

It depends on the country, the crossing and whether it’s a part or full load, so we don’t put day counts here. Your written quote includes an estimated delivery window for your route.
